If an electric stove doesn’t turn on, first ensure the stove power cord is plugged in and that all circuit breakers are on. You need to check the pilot light on gas appliances. If the appliance power cord is plugged in and the pilot light is lit in the oven, then some other part of the stove will need to be repaired. The reason for the problem could be the infinite switch, surface element, igniter or bake and broil element.
A burner or stove or oven that does not produce heat will not do much good. Your oven does not heat if there is a broken oven sensor or bake element. A burner does not ignite when an element is broken or if the burner switch or the terminal block don’t work. We can fix these common problems in under 1-2 hours after an appointment begins.
You can assume the control panel on an oven is broken when the timer or program functions do not work. If that’s the case, we know how to repair control boards for GE, LG, Sears, Kenmore, KitchenAid and many other brands of ovens, ranges and stoves. We provide a warranty on control panels and the parts we use for this type of stove repair service.
You always need a hot oven. Just not too hot! If the oven heat is out of control, it might be due to an issue with the thermostat or sensor. Our repairmen can diagnose the reason for the problem and fix it. Be careful if troubleshooting this issue for fear of skin burns from the high and unpredictable heat.
A common stove problem is that an igniter glows but it doesn’t light. The reason this occurs is sometimes from a broken surface igniter, safety valve, electronic control or temperature sensor. We determine whether we can repair these appliance parts or if we need to replace the part.
Modern self-cleaning ovens can experience door problems. The door does not open after the cleaning cycle. We inspect the door latch, seal and thermostat to find out why the door does not open and then we complete the necessary repair in order to correct the problem.
